Integrate Custom Google Maps

Hey Guys

Here's a doozie for you!

I'm creating some custom google maps for my buyers (showing specific things waterfront buyers are searching like deep water moorage, etc...) and wondering if there is any way to integrate my own custom maps to the search map by linking to a google ID or something?

Well, the simplest thing would be to get the static map URL and then just embed that like an image into the description. You could also check out the new KML feature we added in IP 3.1.3-- you can then add a custom KML overlay which will be added to the map with each property listing.

So you mean embed the google map into the property description, right? I guess I can try this it would just be so cool to have it right on the search map. I'm not too familiar with the KML stuff and upgrading my site at this point is not going to happen since I just got it all working -lol....can you point me to a description somewhere? I'm just wondering if I should go to the trouble of creating custom maps in google or if when I upgrade I will have to recreate all over again-any way to create these now somehow without using 3.0 so I can have it as a resource until I upgrade?

Can you point me in the right direction here? I'm needing to make a quick decidion about if I should invest a lot of time into making the custom google maps or not. Do you have a link with more info about how the KML thing works in 3.0? How would you proceed if you were me?
