Search visually similar

Hi

As far as I can tell, there are three searches I can use:

Search Module
Advanced Search
Property search (in the all properties view etc)

My preference would be
a) for the advanced search to be an extension of the other two.ie: the same visually with added extras

b) The 'other two to be identical in layout and options, because they are both quicksearches really.

At the moment I think it is missing a consistent experience for the user.

Also, an option to turn the search on or off in the properties view would be cool.
(I have removed the code for the time being rather than customise it to look like the quicksearch)

I am just liking and agrreeing with my own comment amount searches being the same...

I have just gone to style the 'adv search' search and found that it is 100% different in construction to the other searches, or so it seems to me, makes it really hard for me to style the same way I have the other searches and the property list from that menu item is different, too

Hi Jon - thanks for your suggestion. I've added this to the 'to-do' list -- we'll try to add some consistency to the search layouts and construction; unfortunately,as you've found, the advanced search is a completely different beast than the quick search module and all properties search. All of the form elements are created with js which makes it especially difficult to stylize without having a good understanding of how they are created. We'll do our best to make this easier in future releases. Thanks!
