Advanced search parameters

ghasler created the topic: Advanced search parameters
It would be great to have a more consistent and full-featured search ability for menus and modules. In other words...

1. Only one type of menu for triggered search covering all parameters such as category, keyword, zipcode etc… At the present you have menu search capabilities split up in All search and category each with different features.

2. It is currently not possible to specify very advanced search criterias if they fall outside of the standard set of options. This means that many circumstances that are needed can’t be expressed. For very complex queries it would be difficult to come up with a GUI for that so I would like to see a text field where you can specify all the parameters of the search (including multiples) and so be able to create complex queries. This will allow customers to be able to do amazing things without you guys having to customize.

For examples:
view=allproperties, zip=02171, zip=0272 keyword=subway, keyword=solar cat=Condominiums cat=Homes order=price orderdir=ascending

Meaning return a set of properties in the 2 zip code areas with subway and solar on the text in condo and home category and order them by price ascending.

listagent=Miller listagent=Jones city=Atlanta city=Brooksfield
Meaning return all properties of agent Jones and Miller from the city of Atlanta and Brooksfield.

The fields supported should include most data columns in the system including zip, street name, mls# etc….
