Hello
About to purchase IP but one question - I am sure that I read somewhere that there is a facility in IP to send out news letters to registered users. Can someone confirm if this is in the basic IP package or do I need another plug in/add on?

Thanks
Charles

Hi cpkelly-- newsletters are not part of the IProperty package. you can easily install a newsletter component to make this functionality happen however.

Please let us know if you have other questions.

Thanks

Thanks Tim for the response. Would I then be right in thinking that a visitor can register through IP (so that they can save their favourites) and then the registrations could be extracted to use as a mail list?

Hi cpkelly-- not exactly, since IP uses the core Joomla user functionality-- so they'd just register for your site like any other Joomla user, but once they're registered, then they can save IP properties-- but it makes little difference to you, since the newsletters components (almost invariably) are integrated with the core Joomla user list-- so you'd just grab the Joomla user list from your newsletter admin panel, and mail to it in that way.

Hope this makes sense

Thanks again Tim - that makes sense and I'm now off to look for a suitable Joomla extension.
Cheers
