Pre purchase qeustions

Hi,
This Extension looks fantastic in terms of looks and loaded functionality for the price and If at all possible could i ask for some info before a purchase is made just to help clarify some thoughts i have.

1)Although this might sound strange but is it possible to create a situation to have one super user/agent to place all the property on the site but still have other agents / members needing to login to see that property but NOT BE ABLE to add their own property or alter any property on the site even when they login to their own account.
Is this achievable through iproperty or a third party plugin you might know of.

2) If the above is possible can the members still be allowed to create a search criteria to still receive auto emails when new property is added by super user.

3)Having looked through your pre sales section on the forum it was touched upon about sms messages been sent via iproperty,Is this feature possible as yet or still not in demand enough.Ideally sent automatically via the members saved search criteria.

Again iproperty comes at about 99% (fantastic Achievement-well done)out of the box packed features for me and if you could provide me with some pre sales feedback would be great.

Sorry for the long delay David-- we must have missed this.

1) Well, you can disable front-end editing / management, then simply require login to view property details. This is all easily configurable in the admin.
2) yes.
3) SMS is possible, but the demand has not been very heavy so it has not been used / tested and made part of the product.

Unfortunately i have not made myself clear on question 1.

I want just one super user able to add property by the front end but when other members login they still get their own area account ,still able to setup alert on property types they are interested in and they can see all property on the site but they cannot add any property of their own on their account or anyone elses account..
Basically i want users forced to join to see property,have their own accounts area but not able to place any property of their own from their account area.Is it just a case of hiding add property links in their accounts once they login.Would this method interfere with the super users ability to add property in the front end.

Hi David--

Well, it appears what you're describing is just the normal IP management then. Just because a user is registered on the site does not mean that they are linked into the IP system. In order for a Joomla user to have access to any of the IP management features (that is, adding, editing, deleting properties) they must be linked to a valid (published) IProperty Agent. There's no way to do this except via a pluign like Akeeba Subscriptions, or having a site admin do the linking manually from the admin panel.

Therefore-- yes, a super user will be able to manage any properties from the front end. No other Joomla user (unless linked to an IP agent and with proper ACL permissions, or a site super user) will have any access to the IP management features. Any Joomla user will however be able to view properties, save searches, favorite properties, etc. -- and if you use the "require login" feature, a non-logged in user will NOT be able to view an individual property.
