I have a new client which would like to have one central property website with all properties on and multiple niche sites with specific property types such as condos or land.
Question is what (if any) are the options for them to have 1 central database of property listings which all sites will be using. Thus saving the time of entering the same properties on different sites.
Is multiple sites using a single database doable?
One site feeding up to date property specific XML feeds to the other sites?
Any experience with the
How hard are these things to do?

This is not possible in a very "clean" way unfortunately, at least if you want to keep all IP functionality. If a DB is shared, it means that you share all info including users and logins, as well as module positions etc. It is essentially a cloned site. If on the other hand you share JUST the IP tables, then you cannot use the front-end management options or IP ACL, since the users are different from site to site.
