If you intend to allow users to sign up for their own account, you should use either Akeeba Subscriptions or AEC, both of which allow you to sell or give users access to IProperty complete with Joomla users and IP agent / company profiles.

hi tim,

thank you for your fast reply.

but i dont need any special features for "user accounts".

is it possible just to add a new user group like described here:
docs.joomla.org/Help34:Components_Users_Configuration

in your demo you allow visitors to click on the floppydisk-icon (save) to save this property to their favorites.
e.g.:
iproperty3.thethinkery.net/iproperty-men...-1-bed-1-bath-london
but because the visitor is not logged in, you show a layer (which is right):
"You must be logged in to save properties to your favorites! Please log in. Please Log In"

but on the login page there is no login for users who are no agents.

Q:
can i add this user group with the joomla build in "User Registration"?

thanks again
andy

I misunderstood your question.

Yes, IP uses normal Joomla users. The ability to register for an account is turned off on our demo site to avoid hundreds of spammers and fake accounts being created. However, it's easy to enable Joomla account creation on any normal Joomla site, and any registered user can save properties and searches.
