Upgrade IP options

I have a site with Joomla 2.5.24 and IP 2.0.2. I want to upgrade to Joomla 3 and purchase the last version of IP, but of course keeping all properties data. In previous posts in the forum you replied that in such situation We could just upgrade to Joomla 3.x and then install the new IP extensions atop the old version (including modules, plugins, etc., I assume). Is that correct? What about installing a new Joomla site from scratch and then import the properties from the old site? Is that possible? Do you provide/sell a script to accomplish that goal? Finally, Do you recommend specific templates to work with IP or any modern template will work fine? I suppose that the new IP version is fully responsive and should integrate well with the latest Joomla versions, but I have to double check before ordering.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Hi-- it's probably the best practice to install a whole new Joomla 3 site and start over, just because there's so many components / plugins / templates that will be more trouble to update and reconfigure for Joomla 3. For IProperty you can just create a normal backup (using the IP backup / restore tool) from the Joomla 2.x site and then copy it to the Joomla 3 site and restore it.

We recommend using RocketTheme or YooTheme templates.
