To upload documents, you have to be logged with 'edit access'. Go in to view project details and at the top right (or left depending on your template) there are two links -- one for 'Add Log' and the other to 'Add Document'. click the add document link and it will take you to the upload form.
Also, did you figure out the problem from your original post? Please post the solution if it's working now. thanks.
Sorry no answers. I looked at the htaccess file and can't see anything that would effect the component, and then I disabled the SEO and that didn't take care of it. I changed the template and that didn't make a difference. I am still getting the 500 error and the document upload area isn't showing up. I love the component so if you have any other suggestions that might fix this - please throw them out!
