vannquish created the topic: meet my requirements?
Hi

Im after a component that allows my users to submit invoices (documents or forms) into joomla after they have completed a job. I would like them to be able to view all their jobs but not see any other users documents. I would like the main admin account to be able to view all user accounts and invoices submitted.

is this possible with Project log?

thank you.

Well, projectlog was made for projects, not invoices-- that being said, it's free, so you're welcome to grab it and give it a try. It's pretty easy to modify as well, so you might be able to get it to work for your needs.

Good luck.

thanks for your reply.

I have installed it and it seems to work fine.

I've followed the 'Walk through' and logged in as my test user but found a problem when adding a new project.

The three drop down boxes (Manager, lead & Technician) display all my joomla users.
Is there anyway these can be hidden or by default select the user setting up the project?

thanks

is it possible to remove the 3 required fields from the project form ? (Manager, lead & Technician)

Hi - it can be done but takes some customization, as does removing the required fields from the project submission form. You would just need to:

1. Remove the 3 fields from the html form and javascript checkForm function in 'com_projectlog/views/cat/tmpl/form.php'

2. Create the fields removed as hidden inputs with the same name as the ones you remove that default to the value of the current Joomla user's id ($this->user->get('id')).

Now when the form is submitted, the manager, lead and technician will default to the current user instead of allowing to select from a list of all users. Hope this makes sense.
