Add your extra options in this file
etc.

Thank you s.knuckles for this hack. I, really appreciate your help.
So far, I’ve found a little mistake in your post. This take me another 3 hrs :)
Maybe someone 'll decide to reproduce your hack,
so I want to share it with my changes for this case. Here is my exp.:

Step 1. Provide this code in CSS file
Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ]

Step 2. Change code as shown below:
Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ]

Step 3. Forward the same as above code at line appr. 218 in:
Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ]

Step 4. Assign colors to status stages in:
Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ]

Step 5. Ajust the same .class colors as on first step in:
Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ]

Step 6. Add this item to "the-new-project-form dropdown-list" in:
Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ]

Step 7. In language files of both ends – write:
Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ]

That’s all!
Now you can change project status by pressing continuously your colored status text in both ends. And there is additional status in drop-down-list of the creation form appears.
You can place unlimited number of the NEXT STATUS stages, you know, but -
TAKE CARE of color assigning to get equal colors for both ends.

Have a nice day! And let all ours projects would be COMPLETE :)

By the way,
Vinny, I wrote the thank you review in JED , but can’t see it in the list  . I’m afraid that it’s because of little splash on other trackers heads ;) I had afforded in my text. Let’s wait a little. If it will not appear at last – I’ll rewrite it in some mild manner :silly: .

To avoid starting another topic, I'll go with this one, which is a bit related in some ways.

I have tried to give the changing status rights to who ever is in the project group, or simply a joomla access level, but can't reach the end. I only tried so far to do the changes in the controller.php, then now, im not sure if this is the right place. and definitely not sure of the right code.

Any ideas?
