Hi.

extensions.thethinkery.net/index.php?opt...ticle&id=4&Itemid=16
I keep hearing about this admin panel:

  • Before adding projects or making your front-end forms available for your users to add projects, it's best to configure your component. To do this, click on the Parameters icon in the Project Log Admin panel.

  • Step Four->Add Projects:
    After your groups are created (optional), it's time to start adding projects! You can add projects from the admin panel or from the front-end (assuming you have your permissions set correctly). The admin panel is straight forward and functions as any normal component - add projects, save. Add logs to the projects, save. Add docs to the project, save...etc. But what site admin wants to add all of the projects by themselves, right? Project log gives you the ability to allow users to add and manage projects from the front-end - and you as the site admin have the power to approve or disapprove added projects. Very simple, very easy - here's how it goes:

  • My front end and back end look like the attached images. I just downloaded the com_projectlog_V1.5.3.zip file and installed it from extensions->module manager with no hiccups.

    Hi - the 'admin panel' is the same as the 'back end'. Just go to you admin/backend 'Components' menu and you should see Project Log. Click that and you'll be in the Project Log 'Admin panel'.

    Thanks for the quick reply. This is what I see.

    When I click on project log I see
    "404 - An error has occurred.

    Component Not Found"

    I'm guessing that's not supposed to happen.

    It sounds like something went sideways on the install. I'd just try uninstall / reinstall.
