We have over a hundred employees. It sure would save me a ton of time if I could import all of their listings, rather than having to enter them one at a time. I'd be happy to do this by ftp if need be.

Thanks.

I've attached a csv file exported from the workforce_employees table via phpmyadmin.

you can use this in excel to see how to arrange your columns. Plug in the data in this format, save the file as csv, and then just go into phpmyadmin to the jos_workforce_employees table and select "import".

Choose csv as your import format, and make sure you tell it to skip the first row on the import.

This should be pretty straightforward. Just make sure for the "department" column you switch the value in your spreadsheet for the key of your workforce_departments table. For example, if the you have a row in your departments table called "Admin Staff" that has an ID of 3, then make sure you switch out "Admin Staff" for the value of 3 in your spreadsheet.

Let me know how it goes.

Brilliant, thanks! That worked perfectly.

Should this thread be moved to Questions or Support Forum?

Thanks for the quick, effective response.
