tavellana created the topic: Pre-Sale Questions
Hello,
I am interested in purchasing Work Force but have some questions that need to be answered before I buy:

1. Can you view all employees of multiple categories and sort them alphabetically by default? (I am building a school site and would like to list the teachers and faculty listed by a) Department, and b) all faculty/teachers (regardless of category) sorted alphabetically (not by each category but as a whole school).

2. Currently I have over 100 contacts that I loaded into the Joomla Contact manager. Will I need to retype all those contacts into Work Force or is there a more efficient solution that will allow me to import what I have in my Joomla Contact Manager?

Thanks in advance for your reply.
Tony

Hi - sorry for the delay. To answer your questions:

1. Yes, this is possible. By default the 'all employees' view will sort by category, then order set in the admin panel, but to sort alphabetically is very easy modification and we can tell you how in the support forums if you decide to use WF.

2. Currently, there is no native feature to import Joomla contacts into WF, but if you're familiar with importing/exporting data, you should be able to export the Joomla contacts and import them into WF db tables via phpMyadmin.

Let us know any other questions. Thanks.
